Sometimes stripes are all that's required

Cookie Cutters that I am bound and determined to own after I have my first son. Named James Parker. Parker James. Clark Gable.

I would like these hanging everywhere.

And again, I would like to marry you, Mister. Here are some of my new favorites:
I would like pinatas to have a regular appearance in our life. I’m not sure exactly how, but we’ll figure it out.

I may at times schedule 2 hour meetings at work (read: leave the gas station that employs me) just to ditch and hang out with you.

I want to make you laugh, if that requires me dancing around the house in my underwear with or without you, consider it done. If not, I’m going to do that anyway so deal with it.

Just two more quotes from Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close, Jonathan Safran Foer.

"I worried about her, putting all of her life into her story, no, I was so happy for her, I remembered the feeling she was feeling, the exhilaration of building the world anew." [119-120]

"Just two days ago she said that her life story was happening faster than her life." [130]

I want to be a Mud Flapper.

So, Port and I went out to College Park a few nights ago to see her friend Mark's band play (By the way, I thought it was adorable that Mark named his banjo JoAnna.) It was inside this tiny restaurant called Taste, and they did such a fabulous job! She and I decided that "The Mud Flappers" are a cross between the bluegrass of O Brother, Where Art Thou, the classic country of Johnny Cash, and the uniqueness of ... I have no idea. They were incredible and I am SO glad we got the chance to see them! Check them out here!

Our friends met up with us for dinner at Graffiti Junktion and drinks at Taps in Winter Park.

Ashley and Brandon.

Me and Jason.

I hope you get a second to listen to there stuff! Awesome : )

"There are so many things that will never happen to me again, and I never noticed when those things stopped occurring. And it does not mean I wish I had my old life back, because I like my new life better; I was just shocked to discover how much of what used to be central to my existence doesn’t even matter to me anymore." — Chuck Klosterman,
Killing Yourself To Live.

Check out these old keys on sale on Esty. Makes me want to dream. What did they each open? Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close, Jonathan Safran Foer. Quote time:

“I did not need to know if he could love me. I needed to know if he could need me.” [84]
“..Literature was the only religion her father practiced, when a book fell on the floor he kissed it, when he was done with a book he tried to give it away to someone who would love it..” [114]
“It’s the tragedy of loving, you can’t love anything more than something you miss.” [208]
“Maybe we’re just missing things we’ve lost, or hoping for what we want to come.” [222]

I have been reading some interesting books lately. I read Nora Ephron's Heartburn, per PORT's request, and it was pretty entertaining. The story was based around the ups, downs, affairs, and happiness of her marriage to her second husband, Carl Bernstein. We enjoyed comparing the story to her others, such as Sleepless In Seattle and When Harry Met Sally.

I also am about 45 pages from finishing Chuck Klosterman's Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs: A Low Culture Manifesto. I didn't really like the beginning- it took me a while to just let go of my own opinions and try to look at his take on pop culture from the average American's point of view (Not that I don't consider myself an average American- I'm sure my name is on that list somewhere.) My favorite part, though, was a random mid-chapter entry about how he came to the conclusion that a neighborhood cat (Mr. Smokey), along with other local cats, are distracting him in order to steal his socks one a time straight from his laundry bag. I like the book- it would be a good book to travel with.
